FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Techneeds Raises $47,000 for OI Foundation

August 26th, 2013 marked the 7th Annual OI Golf Classic hosted by Techneeds at the Atkinson Country Club, in Atkinson, NH. It was a drizzling and chilly morning, but all 150 attendees were in great spirits as they teed off at 7:30am. Each year Techneeds and The Gudek Family host a four-some golf tournament to raise funds for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF). OI is a brittle bone disease that is estimated to affect between 25,000 and 50,000 individuals in the US alone. Kenneth Gudek, co-owner of Techneeds (along with brother Stephen Gudek Jr.), sits on the Board of Directors at the OI Foundation, and is an OI patient himself, says this of the event:

“Every year we host this event we are more and more impressed by the generosity of friends, family, and the many business owners who give their time and money to support the OI Foundation. This year we raised more than we ever have. The $47,000 we raised will go directly to support families affected by OI, and to help fund research for a cure.”

Each year the event features an 18-hole tournament, a lunch buffet, followed by a silent auction and a raffle, where local businesses generously donate items and gift certificates. Next year’s tournament is scheduled for Monday, August 25th, 2014. Contact Cassie Gudek for more information. (CGudek@techneeds.com)
