Techneeds recently placed a team of laser technicians and specialized manufacturing assemblers at Textron Systems Corp. This team played an important role in developing the heat shields for the NASA Orion Spacecraft. On December 4th, 2013 the heat shields departed the Manchester Airport to their destination in Cape Canaveral. Orion is NASA’s newest vehicle, similar to the retired Apollo, which will allow the U.S. to return to the moon, and hopefully even go to Mars! The unmanned test flight is scheduled for spring of 2014.
