Techneeds and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have partnered for the ‘Broken Bats for Broken Bones’ promotion to bring awareness and support to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation.

Each time a Fisher Cats pitcher broke an opposing player’s bat, Techneeds made a $50 donation to the OI Foundation. These donations help the OI Foundation to fund cutting-edge research into treatments and a cure, provide information and resources at critical times in people’s lives, and raise awareness about living with this brittle bone disorder.

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) is a genetic bone disorder characterized by fragile bones that break easily. Also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, the term literally means “bone that is imperfectly made from the beginning of life.” A person is born with this disorder and is affected throughout his or her life time.

This year, the Fisher Cats pitchers broke 47 bats, which resulted in a $2,350 donation to the OI Foundation.

Thank you for a great season!
