I have been very happy with Technical Needs' friendly and efficient service tailored to meet our individual requirements. They bring the highest level of professionalism to recruiting while providing quality candidates.
- HR Rep within the Healthcare Industry
Keeping in mind that Technical
Needs is a full service staffing firm, how do I determine which services
are appropriate for me?
If you are seeking short term (up to three months), or long-term (three
months to one year) opportunities, temporary work is the best option
for you. If you are currently not working, temporary, temp-to-hire
or direct hire opportunities can all be beneficial to you. Temporary
opportunities will allow you to get working immediately and can be
helpful if you are not quite sure what you're looking for because
you can get exposure to a number of different industries. Temp-to-hire
opportunities allow both you and the employer a trial period to see
if the position will be a long term fit for both parties. Direct-hire
opportunities will place you into an open position with one of our
clients. If you are currently working, direct-hire opportunities are
probably the best option for you. Temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities
will not provide the long term security of your current position.
Is your service free to me?
Our candidates are not charged for any services.
What positions do you hire for?
We hire for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities
in Office/Clerical; Light Industrial; Manufacturing; Engineering;
IT/IS; Healthcare (Allied); and Healthcare (Nursing).
What is your hiring process?
The first step is for you to get us your resume. You can email it
to info@techneeds.com or call us toll free at 800-346-8810 to get
the fax number for the office nearest you. A recruiter will look it
over within two or three days of receiving it. If we have a match
for you, we will call you for a phone interview. The next step is
an interview at our office that includes software testing. For direct-hire
and temp-to-hire opportunities, the client will most likely request
interviews with you within their company as well.
I submitted my resume, why haven't
you called me?
We call potential candidates or employees when we have specific opportunities
that will match their qualifications and our client's requirements.
We focus on the details that differentiate between positions, candidates'
qualifications, and clients' preferences so that we can find a good
match for you based on your needs and interests.
What can I find out about the
company history of the clients you work with?
We work with a variety of clients in many different industries including:
Financial and Investment Services, Consulting, Advertising, Real Estate,
Educational and Non-Profit Organizations, and Manufacturing, all while
we continue to grow to include a more diverse group. We can tell you
a lot about the company's culture from the years of experience we
have placing people with these organizations. In addition, we can
provide websites or other online information so that you can learn
more.
What has been your past experience
with your clients?
As our clients vary, so do the relationships we have with them. We
can ensure you that we only provide as professional an environment
for our candidates to work in as we would expect for ourselves.
What is the benefit of utilizing
a staffing company?
We develop relationships with both our clients and each of our candidates
so that we can help you find a position that matches your style and
is the type of position you are seeking. We can help prepare you for
interviews with one-on-one coaching sessions so you know you are as
ready as possible to do your best. By using us as a resource during
your job search, you have someone to support you through the process,
from resume writing to final interviews and salary negotiations.
How many people interview for
direct-hire positions?
We source and screen resumes/candidates for our clients. We generally
submit 3-4 of our most qualified candidates' resumes at a time and
schedule interviews based on the client's preference. The advantage
of working with Smart Resources is that our presentation of your experience
is handled with utmost professionalism. We include a detailed summary
of your strengths including the perspectives of your references as
they relate to the specific position.
How soon can I expect a client
to make a decision?
The client's decision times vary. Some clients will schedule interviews
all in the same week and make an immediate decision, while others
will have several interviews spread throughout a month or longer.
It depends on the process of the individual company we are working
with. Your recruiter may be able to assist you so you are prepared
for whatever the time frame may be for the particular position you
are applying for.
