Health Insurance 

In appreciation of your dedicated service, we are pleased to offer a variety of affordable health plans. All temporary staffing employees that are working 30 hours or more per week and have completed their 30 day waiting period are eligible for coverage.  

We are currently offering the following types of insurance:

The MEC Plan

The MEC Plan through Breckpoint is a wellness program providing services such as annual wellness exams, immunizations, and STI screenings. This plan is under the AXA Open Access, which means you are able to go to your choice of providers without being limited by Network restrictions. With the MEC Plan you also have access to the Enhanced RX Program as well as an Acute Drug Formulary (a service that includes 95 Affordable Care Act drugs AND an additional 37 commonly prescribed medications at NO-COST, plus great discounts on all other medications), Virtual Urgent Care powered by MeMD, both available at no extra cost.  As an added benefit this year, the MEC Plan will also include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help resolve and manage the most effective treatment choices and monitor progress for the most successful outcome!

Please note that this plan is NOT minimum essential coverage for purposes of the individual health coverage requirements in Massachusetts.

Preferred Plan

The Preferred Plan through Breckpoint provides more covered services such as coverage for Specialist Visits, Ugent Care Visits, and certain Diagnostic Tests not covered under the MEC Plan. This plan is under the AXA Open Access, which means you are able to go to your choice of providers without being limited by Network restrictions. With the Preferred Plan you also have access to the Enhanced RX Program as well as an Acute Drug Formulary (a service that includes 95 Affordable Care Act drugs AND an additional 37 commonly prescribed medications at NO-COST, plus great discounts on all other medications) and Virtual Urgent Care powered by MeMD, both available at no extra cost.  As an added benefit this year, the Preferred Plan will also include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help resolve and manage the most effective treatment choices and monitor progress for the most successful outcome!

MVP (Minimum Value Plan)

Techneeds offers full-time eligible employees a Minimum Value Plan that utilizes the AXA Open Access, which means you are able to go to your choice of providers without being limited by Network restrictions. This plan provides certain coverage after meeting an $8,700 deductible for individual plans. Plan also provides major medical coverage.

How to Enroll

Our Health Insurance Open Enrollment will run from December 1, 2023 to December 30, 2023 for coverage effective January 1, 2024.

Dental Insurance

Techneeds currently offers the Dental Pro Plan through Breckpoint. Receiving regular dental care is key to identifying minor problems before major issues develop. Your costs will be reduced by utilizing in-network doctors in the DenteMax Network.

New Hampshire Paid Family and Medical Leave

We at Techneeds, LLC are pleased to announce that as a covered worker in the State of New Hampshire, you’re eligible for the New Hampshire Paid Family and Medical Leave insurance plan (or PFML). We’ve teamed up with MetLife to bring you this opportunity to enroll in coverage during your eligible enrollment period. This is a voluntary benefit that you must elect to enroll during your eligibility period.

PFML insurance will ensure you still receive part of your salary, so you can continue paying your bills and help provide for your family.

What is provided:

  • 60% of wages replaced up to the Social Security Cap
  • Up to 6 weeks of leave taken at one time, or Paid intermittent leave (when you need leave in 4-hour increments)
  • All claims are subject to a 7-day waiting period prior to benefits being paid

Possible Covered Leave Reasons:

  • For your own health (serious health condition, childbirth)
  • For your family’s needs (child bonding, qualifying need arising from military deployment or service, caring for a qualifying military service member)

What it Costs:

There will be a small weekly premium that enrolled employees will pay. Techneeds, LLC will contribute 60% of the weekly Premium with the employee paying the remaining 40%.

  • Example: Employee A earns $600 for weekly check. The NH PFML deduction from their paycheck would be $0.94 for that week.   

All temporary staffing employees that have completed a 30-day waiting period are eligible for coverage following their 30th day of employment OR they may enroll during an Open Enrollment period for coverage on January 1st. Employees choosing to not enroll during their eligibility period, will not be eligible to enroll until the company’s annual Open Enrollment period.

Information from the State of New Hampshire

Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave

The state of Massachusetts has enacted the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (MPFMLA) to give eligible Massachusetts workers temporary income replacement for certain life events such as a serious illness or injury, to care for an ill family member, for the birth of a child and for certain military considerations. TechNeeds is offering coverage to all our eligible Massachusetts workers effective January 1,2021. Any Massachusetts worker who meets the state of Massachusetts requirements for Paid Family and Medical Leave can apply for this coverage. Tech Needs has obtained Equitable Insurance Company (a Private Insurance company) to administer our medical and family leave claims due to MPFMLA. For additional information please go to our FAQ’s and look for Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave FAQ’s.  

The Equitable Insurance Plan 
 

  • As an employee working for TechNeeds in Massachusetts you are automatically enrolled in coverage under the Equitable Insurance Company. Equitable Insurance Plan Details
  • Tech Needs will be contributing 60%of the cost for the Medical Leave portion of this law beginning on January 1, 2021on all the wages paid to our Massachusetts workers.   
  • All our temporary employees working in the state of Massachusetts will be requiredto contribute a small percentage of the cost for the Medical and Family program from their weekly paychecks. 
  • This contribution will be beginning with your first paycheck on or after January 21, 2021.
Direct Deposit 

We at Techneeds are here to make your life a little easier by offering Direct Deposit for your weekly paycheck. It’s a more convenient and secure way to be paid each week. The best part of all is that your funds are available to you immediately after they are deposited by your bank. Please check with your bank to see that your money is in your bank account before you start spending. We are not responsible for any overdraft fees that can occur.

Debit Pay Cards

Techneeds is pleased to be able to offer our employees Debit Pay Cards through U.S. Bank. These cards will be loaded each week with the employee’s net pay similar to depositing their pay into their bank account through Direct Deposit. Referral Bonus

Techneeds is always looking for good people. That’s where you come in!
